Ranges You Cannot Reach Alone

Thai stretch massage is a table-based treatment in which a trained therapist moves your body through assisted stretches while applying rhythmic compression along the muscles. Choose your style: traditional Thai — fully clothed, no oil — or a draped, oil-based version that blends stretching with massage strokes. Rooted in traditional Thai bodywork, it targets the hips, hamstrings, shoulders, and spine — everything that shortens from sitting, driving, and training.

The advantage over stretching alone is leverage and passivity: when someone else provides the angle and holds the position, your muscles release further than they ever will while you are the one working. Foam-rolling plateaus end here.

Honest boundary: stiff belongs here; sore belongs elsewhere. Muscle soreness and post-training aches live on our Sports Recovery page; widespread tight-and-painful regions belong to Deep Tissue.

Which One Is Right for You?

Thai Stretch vs. Sports Recovery Massage

Athletes ask about both — and the split is beautifully simple. Sore is Sports Recovery. Stiff is Thai.

Sound Familiar?

For Bodies That Sit Too Much or Bend Too Little

The Desk-Locked Hips

Eight hours of sitting daily writes itself into the hip flexors. Assisted opening rewrites it.

Your Style, Your Choice

Prefer to stay clothed? Traditional Thai style uses no oil. Prefer classic massage feel? Choose the draped, oil-based version. Just tell us.

The Flexibility Plateau

Self-stretching and foam rolling stopped progressing months ago. Leverage changes the math.

The Between-Training Athlete

On rest days, range of motion is the training. Runners near Stanford book this monthly.

Your Session, Step by Step

Arrive. Assess. Compress. Stretch. Unfold.

Five clothed, unhurried phases. Never forced, always within your comfort — inflexible bodies benefit the most.

Arrive

Going traditional? Come in anything you could stretch in — leggings, joggers, a tee. Prefer the oil-based version? You’ll be draped as in any massage. Your choice, stated at booking or on arrival.

Assess

A short mobility check: where you are tight, what you do all day, any injuries to respect.

Compress

Rhythmic palm and thumb pressure warms each muscle group before it is asked to lengthen.

Stretch

Your therapist guides each position to your edge and holds it while you breathe — then a little further arrives on its own.

Unfold

Gentle spinal twists and neck release to close. Most guests describe leaving "taller."

Thai Stretch Massage FAQs

Do I stay clothed during Thai stretch massage?

Your choice. Traditional Thai stretch is performed fully clothed with no oil — wear anything flexible, or we can provide loose attire. We also offer a draped, oil-based version that blends assisted stretching with massage strokes. Tell us your preference when booking or on arrival.

Is Thai stretching painful?

No. Each stretch reaches productive tension — a "good stretch" feeling — and holds while you breathe. Nothing is ever forced.

I am very inflexible. Can I book this?

Absolutely — inflexible bodies benefit the most. Every sequence adapts to your current range; there is no prerequisite and nothing performative.

How is this different from stretching on my own?

A therapist supplies leverage, precise angles, and passive relaxation you cannot achieve alone — muscles release further when you are not the one holding the position.

Thai stretch or sports recovery?

Stiff = Thai. Sore = Sports Recovery. If both, book 90 minutes and tell your therapist — the session will blend.
