The Avy Spa Difference

Recovery is not one fixed timeline.

After birth, rest can be interrupted and the body may carry new patterns—from feeding and holding your baby to long hours in one position. Our postnatal massage begins with a real conversation. We listen, then match the focus and pressure to what feels right that day.

The goal is not to rush your body back to “before.” It is to create a protected hour in which your shoulders can soften, your breathing can slow and you can feel cared for, too.

We listen first.Your comfort, birth recovery and current concerns guide every session.
We support, never force.Bolsters, draping and positioning are adjusted throughout the massage.
We nourish the skin.Thoughtful oils help dry skin feel softer, moisturized and cared for.
We keep communicating.More pressure, less pressure or a new position—you can tell us anytime.

Personalized Body Focus

Care for where your body is working hardest.

Postnatal massage can focus on the everyday muscular tension that comes with recovery and caring for a baby. Your session is adapted—not pulled from a script.

01

Neck & Shoulders

For tension related to feeding positions, carrying, rocking and looking down for long periods.

02

Upper & Lower Back

Focused postnatal back massage for tired muscles and the strain of repetitive daily movement.

03

Hips & Tired Legs

Comfortable positioning and measured pressure for heaviness and general muscular fatigue.

04

Full-Body Stress

A slower, connected flow when you need quiet, warmth and time to fully unwind.

Choose Your Care

One massage, thoughtfully blended.

We can shape the session around relaxation, skin comfort or a lighter touch. Options are discussed before treatment and used only when appropriate for you.

01

Gentle Lymphatic Drainage–Style Massage

Light, rhythmic touch for a less heavy, more rested feeling. This is wellness massage—not medical lymphedema treatment or a “detox” cure.

02

Essential Oil or Unscented Care

Choose a softly diluted aroma, or keep the session completely fragrance-free. Please tell us about allergies, sensitivities and infant-contact concerns.

03

Nourished, Smoother-Feeling Skin

Massage oil can help dry skin feel moisturized, supple and temporarily look smoother. It does not permanently tighten skin or remove stretch marks.

What To Expect

Comfort at every step.

1

A short, useful conversation

Tell your therapist when you gave birth, how recovery is going, where you feel tired and what products you prefer.

2

Supportive positioning

Face-down, side-lying or another comfortable setup—we adjust pillows, bolsters and draping to your needs.

3

Pressure that changes with you

Your therapist checks in and adapts the session. You never need to “push through” discomfort.

Before You Book

Your safety comes first.

Medical clearance

Please obtain approval from your OB-GYN or healthcare professional, especially after a C-section, complicated delivery or ongoing postpartum concern.

Incision care

We do not work over a fresh incision, open wound, active infection or area that has not fully healed.

Products

Tell us if you are breastfeeding, pumping, taking medication or have skin allergies. Unscented, fragrance-free products are always available.

This is wellness care

Massage supports relaxation and comfort; it does not diagnose or treat postpartum medical conditions.

Do not book a massage for urgent symptoms. Seek prompt medical care for chest pain, trouble breathing, heavy or unusual bleeding, fever, sudden one-sided swelling or pain, a severe persistent headache, or other concerning symptoms. Review guidance from ACOG.

Questions, Answered

Postnatal massage FAQ.

How soon after giving birth can I book?

There is no single timeline that is right for everyone. Ask your OB-GYN or healthcare professional when massage is appropriate for your birth type, healing and health history, then tell us what they recommended.

Can I receive massage after a C-section?

Only after medical clearance and when healing is progressing appropriately. We never massage over a fresh or unhealed incision and will adapt positioning for comfort.

Is this suitable while breastfeeding?

Massage can be adapted with supportive positioning and unscented products. Oils are kept away from the breast and chest area. Tell us about sensitivities before your session.

Will postnatal massage tighten loose skin?

Massage and nourishing oil may help skin feel moisturized, supple and temporarily look smoother. We do not promise permanent tightening, fat loss or stretch-mark removal.

Is lymphatic massage included?

A gentle lymphatic-style approach can be blended into a wellness massage when appropriate. It is not medical treatment for lymphedema, blood clots, unexplained swelling or postpartum complications.

Can I choose essential oils?

Essential oils are optional and used in a diluted form; fragrance-free care is always available. Tell us about any allergies or sensitivities before your session.

Which session length is best?

Choose 60 minutes for focused care, 90 minutes for several connected areas and full-body relaxation, or 120 minutes for the most unhurried experience. Ninety minutes is our recommended starting point.
